My mom's an RN. I ask her questions all the time. Just shoot me a PM if you want me to ask her anything health related.
Your total cholesterol should be <150; LDL<90; Triglycerides <150 Homocystein <10; B/P <75/115. The values given in the above link are average values for people on the Standard American Diet (SAD). "35% of heart attacks strike American's who have a cholesterol level between 200 and 150" -William Castelli, MD Medical Director of the Framingham Heart Study

I used to know all that. Worked 20 years ago though. I still have my RN license, actually.
I think she asked if any gals..... because she posted on the female hiking forum.

I think your phyisician would be more appreciative of a someone who has done their homework, rather than someone who heard it from one of the "gals".
I think a few people here gave quite intelligent responses -

And it included Internet research.
So what's the problem...? This is a "gal" forum, btw. And intelligence has ruled quite a bit here.

Guys, and by that I mean men, if you don't have anything useful or helpful to add stay out of the women's forum please.

Sure it has. But why should it end there. Advice you get on the internet is worth what you pay for it. When did telling someone to read up and learn about their physiological components and not gather hearsay such a bad idea????? (But let me check with my mom first......?)
My mom has a DEGREE in nursing, it's not hearsay! Not cool. I'll leave it there.
Bumpjumper was asking to speak with a nurse without having to pay for a visit. There's nothing wrong with that.

I'm an FP (MD). I'd suggest looking up normal values on the internet but if you have any specific questions, feel free to email me at barleyrain@wavedance.org. Whatever your blood tests show, more hiking will probably help the values! :-)

That's what I'm talking about. Less paddling, more hiking.
