Today I received this bag and I really like it at first glance. The loft is massive compared to other bags of mine. I crawled in it for a minute and it felt nice, cant wait to take it out in some cold weather and do a real review.

Congratulations on your purchase.

Why does the picture show a 0* rating when the WM website rates this bag to 5*? WM does not give 5* for the overfill. They told me on the phone the overfill gives maybe 3* when I was researching 0* bags. http://www.westernmountaineering.com/index.cfm?section=Products&page=Sleeping%20Bags&cat=Microfiber%20Series&viewpost=2&ContentId=37

Whats a couple degrees amongst friends?
I'm satisfied with mine, make sure you have at least an inch of foam or a decent insulated air pad under you if ground sleeping in winter conditions(frozen ground/rock/ice/snow). one half inch foam pad won't cut the mustard in those conditions.

I have the 6'6" Antelope without the overfill. Hope you have a giant pack or aren't carrying much because the bag takes up a huge amount of space.

Not that it explains the 0 on the box, but most consider a bag with 7" of loft like the Antelope (before overfill) a 0* bag.

How big does it pack down to? I was thinking of getting one

I have the 6'6" Antelope as well and can fit it in a medium sea to summit event compression sack with a pair of xl Montbell down pants. This will fit in a ULA Circuit.
What a great sleeping bag.

The stuff sack provided by Western Mountaineering is 9 X 18. I have the Antelope Super DL (dry loft)

The best method I've found for jamming it in my Osprey Aether 60 is upright (I normally put my other bags in the pack horizontally and at the bottom). Even with this method and with this size pack, still it leaves very, very little room for other gear.

my brother has one and we were out walking over the hots springs to davenport gap last weekend. when he unfurled that big rascal and got in it, it looked like his head was at the prow of a small boat. I just couldn't get over how much loft and how big and puffy it looked. needless to say, he was fine at 17 degrees and 20mph winds in that roaring fork (wind) shelter. He said my versalite looked as big but I'm waiting for the pics to compare them.

Got a WM Ultralite super that is rated to 20*. I've had it down to single digits a few times wearing just silkweights and been comfortable. I use a hat and socks when its that cold. I think its my favorite one piece of gear.

I've had an Dakota Super Goretex, Antelope Super Dryloft, and currently we have two Versalite Super's... all have overfill.

The Antelope is a dandy 0* bag.

The Versalite is my all-time favorite, all-around, Rocky Mountain BPing bag.
