View Full Version : WTB 2 man tent
PM me if you have a 2 man tent you want to get rid of. Ultralight is not as important as ultracheap ;)
In all sincerlity I'm looking for something preferably free standing and definitely under 5 lbs.
Ex: REI Quarter Dome, Alps Mountaineering Zephyr 2.0
Thanks.
I have a Mountain Hardwear Lightwedge 2 tent.
I am willing to let it go for $175, probably not cheap enough for you, but that's all I can do in these trying times of our economy.
Here's a link to product specs:

Looks like a fine tent, thanks for the offer. However as you have guessed I'm looking cheaper.

Half Dome Plus 2, with footprint, I would be willing to sell. Not complete sure of the weight, but I believe it's about 5 lbs.
It is in outstanding condition - no runs, tears, snags, fly and tent is still crisp to touch. Footprint was only used twice. I love the tent but had to go with a bigger size as my son grew.
If you are interested, pm me.
I have a Kelty Zen that I'll sell for $60 plus shipping

I bought it from another list member a year or so back and slept in in once in the yard. Like new.

Thanks for all the replies. I am still looking. Basically I was looking for the Alps Mountaineering Zephyr 2.0. It would come up on SAC every month for ~$75 dollars but I missed it everytime (they are now sold out till April at Backcountry.com) . I have the AM Zephyr 1.0 and it really is a high quality solo tent for little $$$.
I just decided that I wanted a bit more room if I took my son, than my solo tent provides.
The Zephyr 2.0 is a little heavy but it has 2 vestiblues and two doors.
That being said I'm holding out for a zephyr 2.0 or a REI QD UL (little lighter, little smaller, more expensive). Those are 2 door, 2 vestibule, free standing tents that could be in my price range.
If I can't find either I guess I'll wait till next year and get a tarptent, maybe!
