hi there. I'm in the middle of a round trip which started off in michigan in july and will end up back there next july. i have only done one long distance trek before and at 95 miles it hardly counts. anyway, i have this urge to walk the AT from south to north as far as pensilvaynia for july, maybe finishing the top section from late august onward and i thought if i started in march or april that would give me plenty of time. the only problem is that i'm scottish so i'd have to persuade someone in immigration to give me a 6mnth visa, and i'm in colombia at the moment heading north. my location isnt really a problem it just makes getting organised a bit difficult, so i thought if i could just roll up with my gear and join in with an already organised bunch then this would be an entirely doable thing.
i'm in danger of blethering too much so i'll just post this as i have to start somewhere. any comments, ideas, suggestions will be most welcome
