I have very wide feet ( and big too). Took me a long time to find a trail runner type shoe that not only fits my wide foot but my wide toes! People with wide feet usually have a problem with the toe box of the shoe not being wide enough. Found this Merrell, reasonably priced also.

I called them to be sure they would be available all year long, I am thruhiking the AT starting late Feb. There were very nice on the phone. Told me just to call their 800 # and they will send me another pair to the next town. (with credit card purchase)

I've done a lot of break ins with these up hill and down hill with out that feeling of my toes grinding together! Hope this helps those with WIDE FEET!! Joshua.

I have that exact problem, many times I got to buy shoes 1-2 sizes larger because my toes get crunched-up in my size, including the wide version of my size.

My son wears an 11 EEEE and finding wide enough shoes has always been a problem. When he wanted to start doing some hiking with us it really got tough. But we found that Dunhams by New Balance carried a whole line of boots in wide sizes and they fit him very well. We can never find them in stores so we just order them on-line.

Another vote for Dunham. I wear a 10.5 EEEE and had a hard time finding shoes or boots wide enough. I almost exclusively wear New Balance and Dunham now. Good stuff.

I have wide feet as well and find New Balance to be the answer for me. Keens were close and did a pretty good job, but since I've gone to New Balance trail runners I've been blister-free. I have also started using Hydropel so I'm sure that has something to do with it too.

I've always appreciated New Balance's EE and EEEE widths. Perfect show for me, the 8XX series.

Dunhams Done'em right (and done me right too!!!) :)
An idea - Once you start wearing your first pair, If you really like them you might want to order a few to stock up at home to be safe. No telling if Merrell decides to later reduce production runs or even runs low on that size due to shortsighted or inaccurate demand planning.

New Balance is a good choice. I take a quad-E and it's one of the few brands where I can find trail runners that fit me at a reasonable price. I don't mind paying $100 or $125, but beyond that it's excessive. I am very envious of people who can fit their feet into Hi-Tec trail runners or other models!

I wear a 10EEEE and find the New Balance 621 a good fit and reasonably durable. We have a New Balance company-owned store locally and have occasionally seen runners available in EEEEEE. If they're out of stock when I need a new pair, Cabela's always has them in stock.

My friends rib me about "walking on waffles". :D

I wear the moabs 24/7 now. They're $75 at REI. I have 3 pairs now... I usually use my 20% off on them since its pretty much the only think I buy full price there.

I have the Merrels with the Goretex. They're light, sturdy, wide, and moderately water resistant. Heck, they're on my feet right now, so you know they're comfortable. I do have wide feet and these are about as good as I have found, but I haven't tried a million shoes, either.

I now wear the Moab V for every day use. For hiking I gotta put a plug in for Asics GT 2130 Trail avaliable in a 2EE. Much lighter than the Moab ventilaters but not as durable (600 miles even in PA). The rebound you get from the Asics Gel is amazing.
