I wish I had done all of this before I left Boone, NC, but now I do not really have any outfitter stores nearby to try on and test products. I prefer to dress in layers and I am looking for a combination that works well. I already have a great synthetic short sleeve and long sleeve... I would prefer a wool / fleece / protective jacket combination but I am open to other ideas. I know columbia has several interchangable options available but I hate to buy one online without knowing much about them. Plus Columbia does a poor job specifying there weight. I would love to hear what you use or any recommendations you have. I am on a budget, so if you have seen a combination at a bargin please let me know. I am sure others reading the forum would appreciate it as well.
