Rem DawgTo travel from Maine down to Georgia I would have to say also that your best bet would be to just fly down, especially with the cost of airfare being pretty good right now I believe. The other easier alternative is to simply leave July 1st Southbound.:sun

Going one way, your better off flying....you can fly cheaper and it's quicker than driving...check w/ Portland Jet Port for flights to Atlanta..usually cheaper than out of Bangor..and check w/airport out of Manchester NH. If your not fussy on the day, you'll have better rates. Do a search, many searches if need be...compare prices/times/airports/airlines...go with your best deal...

Hey,
If you decide not to fly and can get to Pa., I will give you a ride on 3/13/09. Can get you to Springer via FS42 on saturday, 3/14/09.

The Billville Winter Warmer is at the beginning of March. I guarantee at least a couple people from New England (Chomp? Old Fhart?) will be coming down to Duncannon that weekend. Stay for the weekend and then head down towards Springer with someone who should be headed back that way. I'd imagine there's got to be a thru-hiker or two planning to hit that event before going to Georgia.
Post on the Winter Warmer thread and see....

A-Train is right.
I can think of at least one attendee who'll be heading South after the event and will be looking for a ride. And when we find it, there's always room for one more.
