Anyone thinking of hiking on the International AT this year? I'm thinking of a thru starting mid July.
I am going to be hiking it, but I will be starting real early, so we probably will not see each other.

Mid to end of July the bugs (black flies) settle down a bit and I love the heat. Problem is that September (as I understand) in the northern parts of Canada can get really nasty.
You'll have the winds influencing you coming off the Gulf Of Saint Lawrence helped by winds from the North Atlantic. Beauiful rugged country up in the Gaspe Bay. And it never gets "nasty" -- more like challenging. All winds don't blow cold.
