Has anyone seen the Gear Guide issue of Backpacker that usually appears about this time of year? That's all I want to know but if you would like to also comment on the morals of the magazine, dogs on the trail, guns, guys in skirts, or any other issue, please hijack this thread and comment.

Got an info sheet about it at work yesterday.
March 3rd is the newsstand date, $5.99 cover price.
If you have a subscription it may arrive a bit sooner.

Thanks folks. I just came from the local bookstore and it was not to be had. I will circle early March for another visit. When the snow here is still up to the roof it is nice to read about new stuff that will make me hike better, get younger, and loose weight all by reading about new offerings.

I got mine yesterday as well, nothing much exciting in it, bit of a yawn actually. I remember being excited about it last year, I guess I have all my gear for my thru so it's not the same thing anymore.

I see the NeoAir from thermarest in there though. Wonder if I can pick one up along the way.

I too want to lay on the new Thermarest NeoAir and give her a test.
After re-reading that bit, that sounds dirty. :P

I got mine yesterday and if I can get a stimulus check I'll try to help the economy LOL A question, how many millionaires have you met on the AT?

I got mine. They seem to have a category so that every advertiser gets an award. Very little of the gear I use was even reviewed. My Exos 58 did squeak in though. WM only had one sleeping bag worth mentioning, in Backpackers eyes. Course they don't advertise, like ULA, Tarptent, SMD, etc.

Have you used that pack yet? I've waiting for weeks to hear you like before I buy one! :D

The fact that there isn't a single ULA product in there shows what a bunch of crap the whole thing is.
But, in keeping with WB's arguing spirit, you are wrong. The contrail and double rainbow are both in the guide :)

True, I was wondering how Tarptent snuck in there. And I'm waiting to use the Exos when I go somewhere that isn't all rocks, cactus, stickers, and thorns.
