I didn't wanna buy into the Crocs Uglyshoe hype and be seen with a trendy (albeit goofy) fashion statement, so I sought out another brand.

This is the AquaDuck Daytona (in camo color, also comes in brown and navy blue.)

I got these suckers under the following stipulations... I'm going to be using these for Camp Shoes, beach / poolwear, climbing waterfalls (I'm going on a cruise come August so we're doing some easy-peasy waterfall climbing in Jamaica) and I'll also be using these to chase my dog Sniffy-Longdroppings in the yard (which has many... many landmines...) so they need to be easily cleaned.

I typically wear a size 10.5-11 shoe and their sizes list an XL for size 10-11. Trying them on at first i thought they were too big but it appears my toe has maybe 1cm before it hits the front.

I tightened the strap and took a run in my backyard... these suckers won't come off (while im wearing a sock, it's too cold to wear these sockless.) I ran right into a pile of my dog's homemade fertilizer, washed these things off with the hose no problem (no intracate crap-retaining grips on the bottom)

Indoors, I tried them sockless and for now the EVA is kinda hard so if I wore these all day and walked around I'd no doubt have sores or blisters of sorts... hopefully breaking them in alleviates this problem. They feel fine with socks on.

I don't have a scale yet so i haven't weighed them, but I can't imagine they're more than 8oz for the pair (I'll update when I do find out)

I'm not sure if you can find these in the stores... online, I found them at Tim's Shoe Warehouse (http://www.timsshoewarehouse.com/servlet/the-Aquaduck-Mens/Categories). He sells them $15 shipped, and he also sells them through his eBay store (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=260354954418) (if you want extra feedback and paypal buyer's accountability) He's a sloppy eBayer, so you have to request the size you need, request it in the additional notes in paypal.

SwimOutlet also has some, but they've got only Medium (6-7) and XXL (14-15) leftover.

I got a pair at Martin's Dixie Depot right off the BMT. They had them in Black and Cammo. Size large 11.4 ounces.

So about the same weight as Crocs at less cost, not as comfy, and sports a full heel. Is that it in a nutshell?

I don't know croc comfy, never tried them. The AquaDuck was a nice sandal, but I lost mine last year on the trail and never had a chance to give them a good evaluation.
