im just wandering when the majority of SOBO hikers start their hike. around june?

After 1 June, and if you want better weather and fewer bugs, I'd push it back a few weeks.
People start out later than this, sometimes much later, but remember, don't push it too far, or you'll be finishing in the snow. Most folks take 24-27 weeks for their trip, same as those going North. Meaning if you wanna be home by Christmas, I'd start by the middle of June.
thanks, im thinkin about doin a SOBO right out of highschool after i see how i handle a couple hundred miles this summer
There will still be plenty of people starting in early to mid July.
