Someone needs to call the "Man Vs Food" guy on The Travel Channel! He'll try the 5 lb one and then some! Think of the publicity! :)

The real trick is being able to get your mouth around it, although, come to think about it, there are some WB members :-?

All I could handle yesterday was the 1/2 pounder,,, sure was delicious! I couldn't even imagine a 4, 5 or 6 pounder. Talk about a belly ache.

Not to get too gross, but can you imagine trying to move that the next day? Ouch!

Next day? That pile would be fermenting in your colon for a week before working it's way out.

I ate at Fatties a couple times while in town for Trail Daze and it was pretty good. I had the bleu cheeseburger which was pretty doggone good is you ask me. I made no attempt at the 4, 5 or 6 lb burgers. Guess I'm not that ambitious.

Great suggestion!! I've been overseas so long, but was lucky enough to catch an episode on international cable while passing thru Tokyo! Been trying to get the show's DVD, but it's still too new and I guess DVD's haven't been cut yet! Publicity would definitely come to town!! :)

I would think the public humiliation would be spending $30 on a burger, or being able to choke the thing down.

Since Fatties is now called Whistle Pig Bistro, do they still serve the 6 pound burger?

last i'd heard it was a 71/2 lb burger and poppins was the last to finish the whole thing. This was as of trail days last year assuming it's the same place.

Maybe he'll get an invite from the next "Jackass" film.

Do you have any idea what it's like to live 5 minutes from his home?

He is such a spoiled brat, and he bought that bar that shown in the show!

He is the poster child for missing in action dads!

Even his Limo service has had enough!

our countrys medical system just wasnt made to allow for such burgery. what with the burger bypass costs and relish replacements and elective onionface and all. french frys have pushed costs thru the roof while ketchup deaths continue to rise. medical professionals predict a generation of pig artery dependent seniors caused by burger related health problems. be warned.

I had one at Dot's last year. It was very good. I'm not sure it was the best, but the "best I ever had" was probably due to a warped sense of taste from a lack of "real food" for several days - that would be the one pound burger at White House Landing in Maine.

while fatties is a good name for a alcohol and weed bar.. "Fatties..Have a Drink With Your Buds!!" its not quite the right name for a place peddling burgers. sounds great for the hiking crowds but not so much for the local residents. you are what u eat and all...

then again.. whistle pig?? good lord. hope they make a decent pulled pork.
