Here I sit at my kitchen table watching the day start I've been awake an hour, the birds are beginning to sing their songs and the trees are beginning to be defined against the darkness of early morning. I've allready consumed 2 cups of coffee, heading for my 3rd. Many thoughts have run through my mind about hiking this year. I have allready discussed this with work on several occasions and I have decided to "Walk for Life." So---- Our secretary will be taking donations from my walk, just call Wes-Tex and ask for Diane. All donations are just that----donations, myself, I am donating .02c per mile as well as my feet and six months or so to accomplish something I have tried so many times. 2,175 mi. of the famous "Appalachin Trail". All donations go to American Cancer Society. I will keep nothing. I think of it as my Maker gave me a great gift----the ability to walk and enjoy what's been given to me and this gift can regift by using His gift of being able to walk long distances. So I have been getting ready. I have most all my needed gear and am trying to stay between 25 & 30lb. Our "Kick Out" date is the 3rd of March. I'm a "Mellow Camp Hiker" and I hope to have a wonderful hike this year. My sis will be keeping up my feet. She'll know where I"m at and how I"m doing, as well as Wes-Tex will be. A lot of girls I work with donated a penny a mile, that's about $1.00 a wk. I am as proud of them as they are of me. They had a Pizza party for me Friday, my last day at work for six months. I never thought I'd say I miss my job, but I will. I have a great boss, "Wes" and "Bonnie", our cutter Mike, he's one of a kind. Very nice man who raised his kids alone. Then there's Diane who who can make you smile when you're at your worst moment. Then ther's Sharon who started when they first opened and is skilled in many areas. She loves her horses and fun loving Annie who will do whatever they need her to do. I have to say the group I work with are great. I look forward to coming home and giving them great news. First stop: Neels Gap, second stop: Helen Ga. We look for a peacefull hike and intend to take our time and enjoy this trip as much as we can. I Believe my feet will help a miracle happen somewhere for someone. God Bless :sun

Most Excellent. I am starting March 1-2, depending on weather. I wish you the best on our walk and to all those that you will help. Hope to see you.

God Bless
