The Topo Maps all all uploaded now.

I have not been able to come across any GPX file as of yet.

These are pretty sweet. Will they be available for download as files?

When viewing the page you should be able to cursor your mouse over each map and right click on it and save each map that way.

One tiny problem. The nine images in folder 73-81 are identical to the first nine images in folder 55-72.

Do you have the maps for the northernmost section of the trail?

Oh no. I must have made a small error. I will fix that later tonight. Thanks a lot for pointing that out Frosty.

if these were bigger, i'd probably spend my jobs time and money transposing them into GPX / KML

Have to play around with it I guess. This file opens with Easy GPS, but it is not composed of waypoints, right?

I just took Totem's GPX file and converted it to a Google Earth file and attached it to the first post in this thread (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showpost.php?p=802114&postcount=1). Now you can view the trail on Google Earth.

What's a.kmz file?

A KMZ file is used in conjunction with Google Earth. Google Earth is a program which shows a satellite view of the earth. You can zoom right down in on buildings and houses. If is a really neat program.

I just downloaded the beta 5 version of Google Earth. And took a virtual walk. Now if I read the directions,I'll do much better. Thanks for the topo maps and the conversion to KMZ. Mark S.

I can't seem to download the zip file of the .GPX file that Manwich posted. Could someone repost the .gpx file please?

When i click on the zip file already posted it just goes to a blank page instead of poping up the file for download like normal.

Every so often, Manwich the Narcissist checks the search page for the search term "Manwich" and I find a reply like yours.

The download still works for me but in case you're still interested and it still doesn't work for you, I've mirrored the file to another website... http://www.crocko.com/1E1FEB5844F64D82B39061599301917F/longtrail.zip

No telling how long it will stay uploaded for.
