I tried to post an item for sale in the "Selling used items" section and I was informed that I need at least 30 postings before I am allowed to sell. So, does that mean I can just fire away with 30 "yadda, yadda" post and then I will be good to go? BTW, I accidently posted the item for sale in the "Buying use items" section and it went thru. Thanks! Oxxo

The intent is to prevent scam artists from taking advantage, but to allow members to buy / sell gear.

Participate, that is my best recommendation. We look out for the guys that just make 30 posts of BS just to reach 30.

If you have a particular item you might look at some of the post to see if there is someone that is in the market for what you have. I had a complete set of maps almost all brand new due to my knee going out on my hike. I found an individual that was looking for maps, contacted him, and we worked out a deal and all went well.

So, wherever did you come up with a screen name like oxxo? Did you simply want to come up with a screen name that's the same spelled backwards or does it mean something?

You'll satisfy your requirement in no time here (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?t=34922). Don't worry if anyone doesn't seem to be making sense -- keep posting!

Emerald, I do a lot of backpacking in Mexico and never fail to stop in at the nearest OXXO for snacks and a coke. The OXXO stores are equivilent to the 7-11 convenient stores in the USA. I thought the word was unusual and decided to use it as a trail name while in Mexico. My AT trailname is Take-five.
I've asked many Mexicans what "oxxo" means, and noone seems to know. It is possibly a word with no meaning.
