I have changed my starting date for my SOBO thru to mid June. Anyone else starting then or willing to hike with me?

I am starting around june 3rd, but that may be to early for you. Either way have fun.

You won't be alone Pheobe, if the trend holds 80 or so ATers will have signed out at Katahdin heading south into the 100 mile. Bring deet, a good attitude, and a headnet and you'll enjoy Maine in June!

Boy, wish I'd seen this post before I posted mine. We ar are leaving Maine on either July 2nd or 3rd, looking for partners. Have a 24 hr bus ride just to Bangor so we would not be able to leave any earlier.

my friend and i, june 7. ive spoken to about 5 or so others who are starting within a couple days of us and probably a dozen starting within a week before and after. i think you'll have plenty of company either way.
did you get a partner, cuz i can go too, whats your hiking style?

I'm thinking of doing NH this summer... Roughly when would SOBO hikers finish and get to NH?

Phoebers. . . . you'll find hiking partners your first night at Katahdin Stream. . . . they'll be just right, you'll see. . . and I agree with Teej's post except for the headnet. . . I really can't believe people are still suggesting those. . . . they're aweful. . . just bring deet. . . . . :)
