anyone have any updates. thanks alot for any info
I'd also be interested in the water conditions. A buddy of mine will be hiking from Stecoah Gap to either Clingman's Dome or Newfound Gap. Updates on the water sources will certainly be appreciated.

Water was good today at Derrick Knob and the signed source at Beechnut Gap (just north of Thunderhead). I did not check Silers Bald or Doublesprings, but the NPS does not list any problems on their website.

Just got back from hiking the Smokies northbound to Hot Springs.
Great water all the way. Fair amount of rain last week.
Only spring that was so-so was at Walnut Mtn shelter, north of GSNP. Not moving much, although still useable.
