This charming gentleman (http://www.ajc.com/news/content/metro/stories/2009/04/26/uga_professor_shooting.html?cxntlid=homepage_tab_n ewstab&imw=Y) apparently just murdered his wife and two innocent bystanders in Athens, Georgia:

Apparently, his interests (besides homicide and bad poetry) include hiking on the AT. While the actual web page is down at the moment, he had posted a poem a few years back about thru-hikers starting out at Springer.

At the moment, there's no evidence that he is on the AT or any other trail. Nevertheless, if you're hiking in North Georgia over the next few days, you might want to keep your eyes out for him.

Thanks for the warning. I live in north Georgia not far from the AT. I'll be very glad when they catch the SOB.
