Did a sobo thru-hike in 2007. Thought Maine and NH were certainly most beautiful spots, so i figure it is time to revisit. Looking to hike anywhere from 1-2 weeks in May or June or any other month really. Kind of leaning towards hiking 100 mile-wilderness and Khatadin, but happy to go anywhere up north.

Looking for some company along the way. I am 25 years old. I Hike fast and love long breaks. shoot me a message if you're interested.

If you'd like to hike a long trail in NH during your one or two week period try the Cohos Trail: http://www.cohostrail.org/

One to Two weeks is also enough time to explore many areas in the WMNF while base camping. Just a sample of hikes would be The Bond Range near the A.T.'s Guyot Campsite, The Kilkenny Ridge Trail in the northern part of the forest and the Wild River Wilderness and Baldface Peak area east of the Carter-Moriah Ridge section of the A.T.

Also you might consider hiking later in the summer or in the fall. May and June is the black fly season (did you hit this season during your SOBO?) and early May can also mean hiking in old snowpack at higher elevations and high water in brooks during warm spells.

I started on June 6th and really didn't run into blackflies, although I was certainly warned about them. Must have been lucky I guess. Thanks for your thoughts/info.
