I am doing a section from Damascus to Harper's Ferry starting about June 10th. I will be flying in to Raleigh-Durham to spend a couple days with my brother and then need to get to Damascus.

I can't figure out how to get to Damascus. I can't take public transportation because I am bringing my dog. Enterprise does not do one-way rentals. All the other rental car companies seen to be very far away from Damascus.

Please share any ideas you may have. I will have the same problem at the end in Harpers Ferry.

Have you looked into U-haul? I'm sure you can rent one of their vans one way.

Also check with Lone Wolf about options for rental car drop off closest to Damascus (might be Bristol, TN) and maybe he can help transport you to the start.

Harpers Ferry has trains, but I don't know aobut pooches on them and the regs for it.

You could also take Greyhound to Johnson City, TN. For a donation, I could get you to Damascus.
