My thru hike just came to an end. Suffered what I believe to be shin splints on my right leg while going over Dragon's Tooth. Yeah, that's right....Dragon's Tooth bit me. Spent 5 days at the Howard Johnson's Express here in Daleville hoping it really wasn't shin splints and that it would heal up. Just spent the day going up to Fullhardt Knob Shelter. Leg was so swollen and sore that I had to return. So I am going back to St. Paul to convalesce (sp?). I am kicking around the idea that, if my leg heals semi-quickly I'll come back out to Harpers Ferry and continue north. Then do the Daleville to Harpers Ferry section some other year which would officially make me a section hiker.

Anyway, my sole consolation now is that I can go home via Damascus and partake of Trail Days. Only problem is that I need a ride.

Anybody going south on I-81 past Daleville that has space for one more plus his pack?

I should be coming through there early on Fri. morning. PM me if interested.
