I want to make a bridge hammock, so I went to Joanne's Fabrics but there ripstop doesn't have any weight on it. How do I know which is 1.9?

For ripstop bearing a load, especially yourself, you might want to get it from a specialist, such as Seattle Fabrics, rather than a general fabric store.

Unless it's labeled, you could take a 3 foot by 3 foot piece and weigh it. If it's 1.9 oz. you have it. If it's 2.2 and shiny on one side it's coated 1.9.

...or if all else fails, Outdoor Widlerness Fabrics always has good deals on ripstop.
