I want to make a bridge hammock, so I went to Joanne's Fabrics but there ripstop doesn't have any weight on it. How do I know which is 1.9?

How do I know which is 1.9? Feral Bill 05-11-2009, 23:09 For ripstop bearing a load, especially yourself, you might want to get it from a specialist, such as Seattle Fabrics, rather than a general fabric store. Tinker 05-11-2009, 23:11 Unless it's labeled, you could take a 3 foot by 3 foot piece and weigh it. If it's 1.9 oz. you have it. If it's 2.2 and shiny on one side it's coated 1.9.
