Yes, great stove. Used it throughout my hike. Good buy.

I own both. I only use the Whisperlite when I expect the temperature to be below freezing most, if not all, of the time I'll be out. It's a solid and reliable stove for cold weather, but it is heavy compared to the Pocket Rocket and requires at least a bit of skill to prime.

The Pocket Rocket is light, extremely easy to use, and produces great heat. It is my go-to stove for 3-season trips, unless I'm being super weight conscious (and then I carry an esbit stove). Trust me, take the Pocket Rocket for this time of year.

I have both and like them both. Pick either one, you can't go wrong.

I used to own both. I sold my PocketRocket and bought a Vargo Jet-Ti (similar, a little lighter and not as tall and tippy - more durable, I should add). The PR was fine for boiling water, but the tiny pencil of flame right in the middle of the cookpot tended to burn food on (ti pots are known for that). The Jet-ti has a larger burner head but isn't as hot (though it's more efficient).
I only use my Whisperlite in full-on winter conditions. No need to carry all that weight. Just keep your cannister warm in your pocket upon reaching camp or in your sleeping bag overnight and you should be able to use it into the low teens. Putting a handwarming pad under it will help keep it working in difficult conditions.

Unless the temps are going to drop severely, go with the rocket, and save yourself the weight.

Used a Pocket Rocket this past weekend for the first time. Love it. Worked fast, easy to use, and really light. Nothing about it I really don't like. Just need to rig up a wind screen now from a can or something to keep cross breezes off the burner head. Seems like it should be simple enough.

Ditto on Bearpaw and Panzer1. Use the W-Lite in the winter and the PR all other times, unless bigger groups, then the W-lite comes out.
