Back Packing partner in Texas/Louisiana/Oklahoma/Arkansas area

I'm looking for a backpacking partner near my age (male/female) for short weekend trips. I'm located in Marshall, Texas with access to great hikes in four different states all within a few hours. I'm 28, female and a strong hiker, though unexperienced at backpacking (my first trip is this weekend! Yay!)

I am in Long Beach, MS. I will be going to Little Rock, AR in the Spring of 2010 for an on campus workshop at UALR. I have been looking at Hot Springs National Park. I am a online graduate student with ULAR. The classses I plan to take in the Spring 2010 require a six day workshop on campus. The workshop is usually from a Mon-Sat. I am planning to do either some day hiking or a an overnighter in the park prior to the workshop. I am 38, married and have a daughter.
