I think its pretty good that they reached the victims within 1 hour of being reported.

I feel for those folks. We drove back from Lake Ontario on Sunday and we hit the storm just N of Williamsport - rode through it for about 45 minutes with incredible arrays of lightning strikes and pelting winds and rains - Water at least 2"-4" deep on some spots of the highway.. Finally outran it and got to I-80 to head to DWG, but it caught up again with us within an hour. (it was moving SE from Northern PA)., Again in the high winds (60MPH) and rain and lightening. We got off on the Blue Route (476) and skedaddled south to home in time to see the storm hitting the next hill over, it got to our home about 30 minutes later - The lightening was terrifyingly close to us and the power went off at least 3 times within that 45 minutes storm lashing.
I looked over at Blue Mountain, later, watching the incredibly pink sunset and wondered how folks made out up on the AT up on the ridge. Hope these folks are alright.
I was hiking the Loyalsock Trail westbound in PA Sunday afternoon, 5-25 and was descending into Worlds End State Park along a very rocky section when the storms hit. Lightning was all around me. I was very scared. These people were about 100 miles away from where I was. I hope that they are OK.

Yeow! I was hiking the trail about 20 miles north of there at the time. I got caught in a storm but fortunately it was not severe and the worst I got was wet.
I was down the shore (about 55 miles SE of the Gap) and the lightning was arcing right across the sky around us. After it came though fire trucks were all over the place, and from what I could see on the news it was pretty crazy all over the state.
