Sun.-Sun., Aug. 9-16. NH AT IV. (AT from Kinsman Notch, NH to West Hartford, VT). This annual trip will include over 60 miles of dayhiking along the Appalachian Trail southbound and the climbing of Mt. Moosilauke among a number of other Middle Connecticut River Mountains. Mileages range from 9-15 miles per day. Elevation gain per hike will be 3000-4500 feet per day for the first four days and then a marked drop off in elevation after that. This is a strenuous trip. All hikes will be of a dayhiking nature with car shuttles involved. Accomodations will be car camping at two campgrounds as bases. Hikers are welcome to attend for shorter duration.
