View Full Version : Shuttle from Charlottesville to Rockfish Gap

I plan on calling the Rockfish Gap Visitor center tomorrow to get phone numbers for people willing to shuttle between the Greyhound station in Charlottesville and Rockfish Gap on either Wednesday, June 10 (at night) or Thursday, June 11 (in the morning). I figured I'd check on here first. :D Anyone in the area available to shuttle on either of the dates?

In case anyone is looking in the future for the same information, I've found that calling the Rockfish Gap and Charlottesville information centers not particularly helpful. Call the Rockfish Gap Outfitters first - they were a great help!:sun

I may need this same type of shuttle in reverse in about 10 days... (Rockfish to Charlottesville to catch a train home.) I'm probably sectioning all of SNP N-S.
So contacting the Outfitter is a good idea? I've also heard nice things about Beverly Leikkanen in C'ville, who I figured would be reasonable since she is based in the city I need to travel to.
How many days in advance should I arrange it? Is one day enough-- since I don't know how many miles I may make per day at this point...?
