Heading down south at the end of the month. Wondering what the water conditions are between D'mas And Atkins, VA. Thanks in advance for any info.

I think this is my favorite section of the AT so far...
It's been 8 or 9 months since I hiked it but I do remember that there was a lot of water the whole way and it has rained right much through there this year so I can't imagine that there are any water problems right now.

I'm delighted that you are coming down this way. You will find good water availability all the way. In fact, we are presently under a flood watch. (Sugar Grove) If you want any transportation help, I would love to do it.--Kinnickinic
Highly recommend Hurricane Campground too. Hot shower, trash cans, good water and superb campsites.
I intuitively liked the place, later to learn it was rated one of the "20 best places to pitch your tent" in the March 2002 issue of National Geographic.
