Was in NH last week and noticed that in a bunch of ponds there were what appeared to be tubes made out of straw on stands put up in the ponds. I guess it's for birds of some kind. Anyone know what they might be trying to attract? This wasn't along the AT it was around the Mount Monadnock area so it might not be an all over thing.
