Today on Woot.com they have 2 crappy sleeping bags for $20. I picked up four of them just for when we go car camping with a big group of people and they don't have any gear. Just a heads up in case anyone is interested.

Its no the best brand but its a good heat to weight ratio. I mean for the price you cant beat it.

I saw that this morning; I loved the temp rating of 21.2 to 51.8 degrees.

Probably going to snatch up two of them for the same reason as the OP. Have a couple of friends who are getting really interested in what we are doing but I know they don't have the gear for it. For $20, even if they aren't the best quality, they'll work for that purpose.

Sure, why not? They're probably better than a fleece sleeping bag, same temp, more compressible, maybe even lighter @ 30oz. Cheaper too.

And if the bags aren't that great, for $20, you can have two zippers and a bunch of nylon for sewing projects. :banana Probably stuff sacks and cord locks, too!
