Deer ticks(Lyme disease) in Connecticut

My son was backpacking at the Mohawk trail section in Connecticut this last week and said that he had pulled at least thirty deer ticks off of him. He said that there were signs posted along the Mohawk trail that this season is particularly bad for deer ticks. Well just today he told me that his doctor told him that he had Lyme disease. Everyone please beware!

Thanks for that info, just got back from a 4 night hike on the A.T. in CT. Found 5 ticks on me, 1 that sank in, scheduling dr appointment right now.
