Can you... & if so, is your car safe to be parked overnight (2 to 3 nights) at/near Mt Rogers NRA Headquarters?

You are probably speaking of parking your car across the street (VA 16) from the headquarters building. People do it all the time and for some periods of time. I've never heard of or seen any vandalism there.--Kinnickinic

Never been to the area, so didn't realize there was a parking lot across street from HQ. I assume that if HQ locks gate at night as LW stated, then I wouldn't want to be locked in if I arrived after hours. So knowing that the non-gated parking lot across the street has not had vandalism problems, then that sounds like my ticket. Thanks ya'll! :D

there's no parking lot across from the hq. it's just a pull off from the road. i wouldn't leave a car there overnight

I would leave my car there overnight, but, of course, LW is right. There is always potential for vandalism/theft, but it surely hasn't happened since I've been watching--five years. The pull off is at the apex of the mountain, just a few yards at the top of a hill. That may help, but mostly I think it is possibly a safe place because it is also used by hunters with big guns during hunting seasons. Also, headquarters has lots of law enforcement traffic. But, no, I've never actually left my car there, but that is because I live so close by.--Kinnickinic
