I have HH asym, and i have ordered the JRB underquilt (backordered ugh), i also have bought some silnylon and plan to make some skins to enclose both the hammock and underquilt together.
Does anyone have the dimensions/measurements for some python skins that will fit.
Thanks

I figured he said python to indicate that they would be large snake skins... but then maybe not

She, and you are correct sylvia :sun
I made my own skins to fit a Speer hammock plus Pea Pod. I measured the diameter at the largest point and made silnylon cylinders that size. Then I marked the fabric in place, estimating how much I could take up along the length of the hammock. A crude method, but it worked.

A couple of things to keep in mind when using Python Skins or Snake Skins is that they are not waterproof. Depending on your packing method this might or might not be a problem.
I used Snake Skins for a while, but decided it was just as easy to roll the hammock up, and if I attach one end to a tree I can still unroll it without touching the ground in case of wet/muddy ground.
A second thing is that if you have any condensation on your hammock when you pack it up, you may not want it bundled in with your down underquilt. Again, this may or may not be a problem depending on the season or weather. Just something to consider.
