I'm thinking about hiking Mt. Rogers this weekend out of Damascus. It has been several years since I have done so. I would like to hike it via Wilburn Ridge. Where is the trailhead and what roads do I use to get there from Damascus.

take Hwy. 58 east about 25 miles to Grayson Highlands state park entrance then another couple miles thru the park to the Massie Gap parking area. take the side trail there about a half mile up to the AT and go SOBO
