Beat the badgers 31-10! ;) Any hoot, I have several "Alice Pack Frames" in storage. 24" and 36" frames and w/military backpacks attached. If your looking for anything longer than 36" you're on your own! Throw a reminder on your outlook calander to send me a PM around the September timeframe. I leave Okinawa in a few weeks and will soon be stationed in Georgia. Once my house-hold goods come in I'll throw the 36" frame w/packback to the side for you. Pay for shipping and the rest is all yours for free. I have way too much gear than I know what to do with. Least I can do for the Independence Patriots smoking your Badgers! :D World-Wide rappglenn 07-05-2009, 22:52 well thank you ill take one of those frames you stationed out in japan with what unit i just got out of the marines was in 2ND light armor recon on camp lejeune moved out here for school originally from new york take-a-knee 07-05-2009, 23:26 A lot of guys at Ft Bragg were using modified Coleman RAM-X frames with the ALICE pack bag. General Jackson's in Fayetteville was doing them for a while. RBrownkatz 07-06-2009, 05:46 I have several "Alice Pack Frames" in storage. 24" and 36" frames WW, I wasn't aware there were 36" frames for the ALICE packs and would also be interested in getting one. Be happy to pay for it. Can you post a picture? Thanks. World-Wide 07-06-2009, 06:34 WW, I wasn't aware there were 36" frames for the ALICE packs and would also be interested in getting one. Be happy to pay for it. Can you post a picture? Thanks. I can post a pick, but it'll have to wait until September. All my packs have been in stateside storage the last 4 years because of a 1 year stint in S. Korea followed by the last 3 years I've been here in Okinawa. The 36" frame actually has a larger pack system than the standard sized Alice Pack. (large backpack w/emergency ditch system) :) W-W World-Wide 07-06-2009, 10:07 A lot of guys at Ft Bragg were using modified Coleman RAM-X frames with the ALICE pack bag. General Jackson's in Fayetteville was doing them for a while. Was assigned to the 360th Civil Affairs Brigade in Iraq and did my Combat Skills Training at Ft Bragg! Day/Night land navigation, M-240/247 fam firing, aiming grenade launchers at tanks 600 meters out not to mention all the live firing from moving vehicles! Best experience I've had in the Air Force!! :D Ft Bragg will always be a highlight of my military career!! :sun World-Wide Allen1901 07-06-2009, 14:44 There's only one size ALICE frame. It fits both the medium and large ALICE packs. There's no reason You couldn't extend the frame length if You want. You would have to modify the pack if You extended the frame width. Cheers! rappglenn 07-06-2009, 22:31 i don't plan on put the same packs on i think i will make something from canvas does any one have a source for just pack frames preferably used and i think the packs would still go on fine they just strap on to the bottom JokerJersey 07-07-2009, 00:50 Just do a Google search for ALICE pack frame. On the first page alone, I got about 20 results with prices ranging from $18-25 for a used pack frame. Happy shopping. Allen1901 07-07-2009, 00:57 ALICE frames usually sell for about 20.00 used, with shoulder straps and kidney belt. Try to get LC-2 straps if You can. This listing at armygear.net is typical: http://www.armygear.net/ag/store/00060.html Here's an online ALICE manual if You need it: http://www.georgia-outfitters.com/_alice/alicemanual.htm Cheers! BTW, I've heard of people moding a plastic 3rd or 4th generation MOLLE2 frame to fit an ALICE pack. MOLLE2 frames sell for 10.00 - 15.00. SARdaddy 07-08-2009, 14:51 Down east is making frame for the new molle packs. It can be modified to fit a alice large. |
