It contains information not only on the A.T. but on all the other National Scenic Trails, National Rec Trails, and National Historic Trails. It also gives a list of proposed new trails.

If I am reading this correctly, the Arizona, "New England" (otherwise known as the Metacomet-Monadnock), and Pacific Northwest Trails have been made National Scenic Trails.
