i don't know i would never pay for it in the first place, there are lots of other good sources to find trail details, and trip reports, might take a few more seconds than trails.com

No. I signed up two years ago and it was a waste of money. There are better sources on net that are free.

They have mostly commercial family hiking books such as the ones from Falcon. I find that the best sources for trail information are from the guides and maps from clubs that maintains the trail (which they never have, since those are more on the non-commercial side). When I mistakenly signed up like five years ago, it was a pain to cancel my monthly subscription (you had to call and speak with someone who wouldn't take no for an answer).

So, no, it's not worth it.

No...save your money and buy the books and maps where you hike, then donate to local library when your done w/them. Or/and buy a CD program of maps/states, lots out there and you can download to a compatible GPS unit,( make sure what GPS these programs support) you can print just the area you will hike and by buying waterproof paper to print on, your good to go.

NO, just did a trial subscription and all they have is information that is public record like the park literature and useless on line maps. Now I am getting junk mail from them even though I unsubscribed. Not a lot of junk but should not be receiving any.
