The next 7 Wonders of the World are being voted on at the moment under the direction of UNESCO. Internet voting from the public is being considered. http://www.new7wonders.com/
Did awhile back. Need better link I think. I found it odd that sites have to be "sponsored."

Maybe something like Warming Island, which recently "appeared" off of the coast of Greenland?
