bag ''o'' trick had his car broke into there, i believe. i wouldn't totally trust public parking. LW's yard yeah. but public areas ? plan ahead, leave the car empty and drive and ole' jalopy! maybe thats my excuse. my not so mint 86 pickup(not 4 sale)

Depending on when you are hiking, our hostel in Manchester is available for parking. We can run you up to the trailhead too...... PM me.

Ahhhhh....it was this exact day last year that we were hitching a ride from that parking lot to Manchester for a resupply. Our buddy Hungarian woke up early and beat us there only to hitch the wrong direction! HA! I remember a good handful of cars that had been left there over night.

Did I hear right that Hungarian is now a ridge runner in New Jersey?

You heard right. I emailed him a week or two ago and he was healing up at the Scott Farm after a rattle snake bite. He stepped on one during one of his ridge runs if I'm not mistaken. We hiked with him off and on most of the way from ME to GA and really enjoyed his company.
