I swear this isn't an ad and I have NOTHING to do with this company... :)

I post and read a lot over at the ADKforum which is a forum for hiking in the Adirondacks. A gentleman on that forum makes and sells dehydrated foods that are actually really good. I figured I'd try to link up two different hiking groups over the common interest of good food :D You should check out the forum while you are there too. The ADKs are pretty nice!

Here is the link to his store:

Thanks lorichka6 - I'm teaching a cooking workshop in Algonquin Park on Monday so I'll add this to a list of resources for the students. I'll mention the forum to my friend who is in Cornwall, Ontario. She goes to the Adirondacks a lot - then again she might already be a member over there.

I second Hawks Vittles. Good stuff. At first glance some people might think it is pricey, but those servings are HUGE. While most backpacking food takes 2 servings to fill, you can get 2-3 meals out of a 2-serving package!

He now sells single-serving meals. It's not cheap but you get your money's worth.
