Hi just wonder have any of you ever try to dye your pack straps and waist belt. All the backpack i seen only have black the color black hold a lot of heat i figure if i could dye them a lighter color it would help cut down on the heat.

Seems to me you want to remove some black color, not add more color. Since they are made of nylon I would imagine they are pretty colorfast. Probably can't remove the color without weakening the material.
I say don't worry about it.
They would probably be pretty dark from dirt in no time. Can you imagine what white straps would look like at the end of a thru hike.
You might like that black in fall, winter, and spring.
