Planning a hike from Sam's Gap (US-26) to Tanyard Gap (north of Hot Springs), needing pick-up at Tanyard on a Saturday afternoon in late Sept/early Oct. Willing to plan according to ride availability.

3 solutions to this, IMO:

1) Stash a car at Tanyard Gap and hike to it.
2) Call Bluff Mountain Outfitters for a shuttle if you have a cell with you.
3) It's a super easy hitch to Hot Springs. Stick your tumb out and go for it.

Misunderstood your post, Smak. Sorry about that, my mistake. Just call BMO in Hot Springs and they can get you all set up with a shuttle to Sam's Gap. Enjoy your hike!
