Just curious if anyone can give me a heads up on water conditions for this section. Have a group of 6 looking to do this section over Labor Day Weekend and have heard that the VA area has some areas that are w/o water. Considering the elevation, I am curious to know if the water supply is flowing or not. Also, any suggestions for campsites in this section?
Thanks for any info.

Muskrat, did you make this hike? Any observations or suggestions you'd be willing to share?
My family plans to hike this same hike next weekend (Thanksgiving).
Thanks!

Rain Man, I did most of this section a few weeks ago. Water was flowing fine in many areas. A few camping spots other than near shelters, but not many. Beautiful section. Really enjoyed Comers Creek falls!

THANKS for the info! We are looking forward to getting out on the trail together as a family.
Anyone know any folks in the area who might shuttle us or our vehicles?

Get in touch w/ Sawnie Robertson (Kinnickinic) here at WB. Very nice, fair priced, and dependable.
I hope your family has a great trip Rain Man!!:D

I don't think I said this, but if anyone would like to join us, they are more than welcome, for all or any part of the hike. Although it's a "family trip," that doesn't mean we'd exclude anyone. It is possible someone may be joining us from the Nashville Backpackers Meetup Group, anyway.
