I was rummaging through the fridge and found a pack of chicken that was labeled Springer Mountain Farms.

That's funny, I was rummaging through boxes of gear the other day and found a stuff-sac with my dehydrated foods, various vegetables and chicken/beef jerky and some rice. Estimating by the stuff it was mixed with I think the age of the food to be about 3 years old. Ate the stuff yesterday for lunch, still here:D

Food spoilage... yum. You know, eggs keep in the fridge for an incredibly long time. I've always pushed the envelope, and never gotten sick.
However, one time I was making brownies and I cracked an egg into the mixing bowl... and noticed that it had a decidedly unhealthy shrivelled-up appearance. I ended up discarding the whole mix. :( Waste of good cocoa.
On the year-old cheddar cheese... was there any actual cheese left, or had it all gone to mold?

I really didn't inspect it closely. It was pretty bad.

Some folks spend big money for "aged cheddar"
