I know the year isn't over yet, but let's start the voting early. Who do you think the biggest dumbass of the year? 1) the kid who left his stash out at the Place in Damascus and got busted. 2) Spike for being a douche and separating the Mad Kiwis shoulder as he attempted to make room for him at the Groundhog Creek shelter. 3) Yukon for pissing everyone off at the 501 shelter at midnight on the 4th of July and consequently getting maced by the caretaker. Or 4) Warraghiyagey, just because?

The original incident also happened in the White Mountain Nation Forest so it could be considered remotely hiking related. Gets you thinking about Winnie the Pooh, though! :D

My wife didn't think she could get breast cancer because it didn't run in her family - wrong!
We need to pay closer attention to our diet, exercise, and just how we feel in general.
(Btw: My wife is currently a 15 year survivor. She decided to take the radical treatment and has not had a hint of recurrance).

This Moody incident has nothing to do with stupidity, He needs to be institutionalized if he is so screwed up emotionally he has to climb down into an outhouse to get his jollys! Besides shuddering, it really makes me want to throw up!

Vote for myself for getting off the trail back in May. After a week of rain, I was hoping to hold out in Waynesboro till we got a little clear weather. Couldn't afford Waynesboro, as the hostel was not open yet and I use a hammock, so the Y wasn't an option. Anyway, clear weather didn't happen and I headed home. Now I am homebound until who knows when. Shoulda stuck it out in the rain and finished my planned hike for this year.
