View Full Version : I'm out of milk!

Nido milk powder seems to have disappeared from my usual store- source. Anyone else having trouble finding it? Maybe it's just a lack of local demand. I discount the recall of Nido baby formula in South Africa, because baby Nido is still on the shelves.

Was on the shelf of Walmart, too. Good luck.

My local Walmart carries it in the ethnic (Mexican) section.

As do all WalMarts that I've seen which have a Mexican food section.

Also, Nestle sells "Klim" (milk backwards) which is equivalent, in case you've been passing that in the aisles.

They may have just relocated it in the store. When I first heard of it and was looking for it to try out, I checked all the areas folks mentioned: the baby food isle, the mexican food isle, even the health food isle. Nowhere. Finally, I gave up and trudged sadly to the powdered milk section to get the usual skim, and.....yep, there it was. Who'da thought?

Sometimes a manager will think outside of the box when locating products. Once I scoured a grocery store for powdered milk and couldn't find it. Finally I flagged down a clerk - who was equally puzzled - especially when we finally found it in the cereal aisle. I mean, what else would you eat with cereal?

Nido is available at the PriceRite chain in the NE. SaveRite is the parent company and should also carry it.

Thanks,I just did a quick google. No luck in this area,I live in the boonies in the northern tip of NY. 3 miles from Canada. Great solitude, but shopping is not so good.

I looked for this a couple days ago at my local WalMart - no regular Nido, but they did have the baby stuff. I thought they were just out, but maybe they're not going to carry it anymore?

Haven't looked at any of the other WalMarts near here yet.

If all else fails you get NIDO online from PackitGourmet :)

I got a big canister (i.e. like enough for 13 quarts, which seems like enough for an entire season) for just $15 on amazon.

Local WalMart still doesn't have it. I guess they won't be carrying it anymore.

(Knoxville) Turkey Creek WalMart did have it when I checked there today.

My local WalMart carries at least two types of Nido. Saw it there just yesterday.

I switched to Nestle in the big box then went to the generic stuff at Walmart. It all tastes the same to me and saving money turns out to be something I like to do.
I am not sure why Nido comes and goes like it does - I have seen this similar post on WB for years.

Yup.

I usually find it in the Hispanic section at Albertsons. The Asian markets carry it too - tea/hot chocolate aisle.
