That TV station obviously does not have random drug tests.

My favorite part is the guy making the bear cutout go up a tree. It's funny to see the lengths local TV reporters will go to get footage for a story when they have no footage of the actual event.
Are you sure you didn't get this from The Onion?

I know, right? It's amazing that it's actually real. Also, I can't quite figure out why the homeowner felt the need to call the police. I guess she felt threatened, but it doesn't seem like the bear did anything other than walk by.

Thanks for posting that! I needed a good laugh after a long and difficult day at work.

One of my neighbors called the police because someone hung a bag of dog poop on her mailbox. (She thinks it was the poop of her own dog, which had done its business on the next-door neighbor's lawn.) She emailed everyone in the neighborhood to tell us not to be alarmed at the sudden increase of squad cars we would see in the neighborhood.
I did not make that up.
There are bears in Southern Ohio, so why not Northern Ohio?
But Yea, it was bad enough they had a cardboard cut out, but to have someone make it move, AND climb a tree. I agree that it's time to do a random drug test on all persons involved. :D
The above was typed after I could stop laughing!
Good stuff. Was that a white blaze on the tree at 0.56 minutes in?

What you don't know is that after this report, the bear went back to her house, held her at gunpoint and demanded all the bacon she owned. Yet another bear bacon robbery target...

I wished the internet was around when I was working at the zoo. The bear story brings this to mind,
We did a survey on how people in a car would react to certain reptiles, so one day we went to a rural county road and place plastic reptiles and different intervals alond the road then hid in the trees just to see what would happen. It really cracked us up. Drivers would actually weave to the other side of the road, one almost head on, just to run over a 'snake'. Once a woman ran over a 'snake' backed up then did it again. Just down the road she stopped to pick up a 'turtle' to help it across the road. You should have seen the look on her face. Oh, we had some good laughs.
It looks like that is what these reporters were doing. Putting out fake bears to see the publics reaction. It really does bring some laughs.
