Thinking of having another get together at the Campground again this year, any suggestions for a date, sometime in October.

Okay here is a date. We are shooting for October 24th&25th, anyone wanting to show up late on the 23rd is welcomed.

On Saturday we may do a short 3 mile loop and have soup in the afternoon and sit around the campfire, then Sunday hang around a bit before everyone heads on there way.

I'm going to have to think about this one. I need to meet some more folks from the area. What area of No. Georgia?

Okay, :banana

I have decided on a trail to walk, we will leave form the overlook of Keon Falls and walk down to the falls, then down to the parking area, down the gravel road to the paved road and cross to go to Pilchers Pond and back down the Pinhoti Trail to the road again where we will be picked up.
Total trip will be around 5.6 miles, then a 25 minute drive back to the campground.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

It is getting closer to the gathering time, I will be tying BLUE Balloons to the Hickory Grove rd sign and to the Campground signs so everyone will know where to turn.

If anyone has a favorite movie they would like to share with the group bring it as we will gather in the gathering room Friday and Saturday evening.

We will have Hamburgers and Hot dogs Friday night and Soup after the hike on Saturday, We will be leaving for the hike around 10:00 or 11:00 on Saturday morning.

See you all later.

Well according to the weather man here in Dalton, we are supposed to have 100% chance of light rain for today, moving out later this afternoon and no rain for tomorrow. I hope the rain moves out faster. See you all tonight.

Here are even more pics, we really had a great time, wished more folks could have shown. The weather turned out great for the hike and the soup was wonderful if I do say so my self.

We cooked hamburgers and dogs on the grill Friday evening and told tall tales, then Saturday evening after eating soup we watched hiking videos and told more tall tales.
