Produced for the Appalachian Mountain Club (http://www.outdoors.org/) by DigiNovations, this film is one of a series of films that takes viewers to the 100-Mile-Wilderness — the final 100 miles of the Appalachian Trail leading to Mount Katahdin in Maine. It premiered at the Annual Meeting of the AMC in early 2009.

This is a brand new video. Just came out the other day and won all kinds of Telly Awards. (Not sure what a Telly is, but sounds good)

Watch the video here (http://thebackpacker.tv/2009/09/22/experience-the-maine-wilderness). Awesome job!

Should be labeled with " Advertisement" , like they now have to do in magazines. I don't want the AMC to do to Maine what they do in NH, which is to disregard the actual needs of long distance hikers.

A broad vi$ion for the Maine Woods.

It will be interesting to see how many roads they close in the area that are now free to use.

Long distance hikers are a distinct minority who seek something different, do they not? They benefit in many ways as they travel the A.T. through New Hampshire and are capable of fending for themselves.
