I was planning on parking my vehicle at this location. Have any of you done this and if so would you consider this a safe parking spot? It would be there for about a week. If you feel it is not a safe spot, can you help out with some info on a better choice? Thank you:)

I did, for three days a few years back. No issues.
Park at the Blueberry Patch and have Gary Poteet shuttle you.

I have shuttled hikers in and out of there for several years and parked there myself when I have been hiking in that area without a problem,but if you would like to park and get a shuttle from Hiawassee Inn (http://www.appalachiantrailservices.com/external/hiawasseeinn/) you could park there.

I would shuttle out of either Blueberry Patch or Hiawassee Inn myself. Dicks is as safe a trailhead as there is, but for a week, vandals will notice a vehicle sitting that long.
